DOING BUSINESS IS NOT TOO EASY

Doing any business is not too easy in this competitive market. There are many small and big competitors around us. All are trying to be no.1 in their field. So, they focus on their quality and services of their products and try to give best services. They always also try to make maximum profit by giving good quality and services. They reach at customers easily through TV, radio, newspaper, magazine, social media, internet, etc. They never want that any another new competitor come at their market and compete with them. They give their best to be no.1. If you are starting new business in any field, you need to know about your competitor that what and how they give services to their customers. You need to find out what, when, why, and how customers want any product or services. You need to make product or give services according to target customers. You need to proof yourself in the market so that customers can come to you. You also need to focus on quality of your products and services in different way.  Advertising is necessary but quality is more important. You can attract customers by giving attractive advertisement, but you can’t make more profit in long run if you are not giving good quality. You need to find out the way through which you can establish yourself in the market. You need to do more labor and give more time than others, so that you can make your own brand.

I am going to share a nice story of corporate world. if you are management students or do job in any company, must read this story. it will help you to get promotion in very less time. a simple boy was working in a real state company from more than 6 months, but he was not getting promotion. A another new boy joined the same company and got promoted within 2 weeks. Reason-first boy was not always talking, behaving or acting in discipline; not coming on time; not working seriously and he used to talk and behave like friend with manager. The new boy use to come and go on time daily, always in discipline, work seriously, talk and behave with respect with his manager, don't time pass, do immediately whatever his manager says to do. And he is progressing very fast.

Text Box: MAST KALANDAR (EATERY CHAIN)

They chucked up cosy IT jobs at TATA Consultancy services and Wipro because they kind of missed homely food in Bangalore. And they are now ready to global with their eating chain, which has 60 branches spread across four Indian cities. Eight years ago, Pallavi Gupta, 37, and her husband Gaurav Jain, 40, both engineers with MBAs from the institute of management technology, Ghaziabad, set up the first unit of Mast Kalandar not far from their then home at Bangalore’s Bannerghatta Road.
The laminated-top tables and hard back chairs remind you of a college canteen. Customers place orders at the counter, but are served at the tables. The meals are freshly cooked. The name Mast Kalandar loosely translated as ‘merry acrobat’ symbolizes the casual, happy, homely ambience that the eatery aims for. A girl can come alone and eat hear. The ambience is relaxed but contemporary- not ethnic. This is for someone who uses an imac or an iPhone but eat dal-chawal.
Mast Kalandar which has 800 employees has 49 branches in Bangalore and the rest in Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad. Springleaf Retail Pvt ltd, which runs the chain, has raised more than $11 million in venture funding from footprint ventures and hellion venture partners and is looking for a fresh round next quarter. Jain plans to go to the north, and Bombay will be next year. He expects the first overseas branch in less than two years and 350 to 400 outlets in around four years.
Things have come a long way. The founder couple recall early days, when hordes of north Indians like themselves made the southern city their new home- only to notice that apart from rich-food restaurants, there were only the austere Udupi-style ‘darshinis’ that served southern fare like idlis and rice.

Aviate (mobile app)

How to make mobile phones adapt to their user’s needs, rather than the other way around.

Entrepreneur Mark Daiss, his cousin Paul Montoy-Wilson and his friend William Choi, both of whom worked at Google, wanted something more from their phones. Rather than have to search for what they wanted, they wanted the phone to offer them that information, when they needed it and based on what they were doing at the time. The three got together in 2011 to set up Thumbs up Labs and, earlier this year, launched their first product that does just that- called Aviate. It’s an android-based mobile interface that intelligently organizes your phone, taking contextual cues from the time of day, where you are and your app usage patterns.

Here’s how it works. Once you install the app, Aviate automatically categorizes your apps into collections such as music, news, productivity; a restaurant etc. and recommends new apps based on your download and usage patterns. This is the home screen that changes automatically through the day, depending on the time and location. So, when you reach for the phone on waking up, tap the orange house icon at the top of your screen for the weather, a calendar and to-do apps. As you head for work, Aviate can detect you are on the move and show traffic conditions and give directions to the office, and the work space gives you email, Google Calendar and Drive, among others. If you are shopping or out for a meal with your friends, you can pull down information from the red space on what’s nearby, restaurant reviews and so on.

Daiss says the app saw over 100,000 installations in the first week itself and several users are signing up every minute, which makes him confident that by next year. Aviate will have over 1 million users. Still, he does have some ideas- people are willing to pay between 50 cent and $5 to get their apps installed, Daiss points out, and Aviate generates app installations through its recommendations. Another revenue source could be through directing people to different search services, for which Aviate would earn a free each time.

Broomberg (cleaning service)

When Samrat Goyal’s brother’s house caught fire, they found very few options for emergency cleaning services. Those available were either expensive or incapable of handling client requirements. A Boston Consulting Group employee, Goyal then decided to team up with childhood friend Ishan Baisoya to start Broomberg as a position solution. “We want to provide quality on-call cleaning services. People treat cleaning as a chore. We train our professionals before sending them out and treat cleaning as a science” says Goyal. Broomberg functions in Delhi and NCR with cleaning services for offices, restaurants, showrooms, and small medical clinics. Of all its customers collected by flyers, door-to-door marketing and social media- 80% are residential and 20% commercial.

Broomberg has four cleaning teams with four trained members each. Services start from Rs 4500 for a 1-BHK flat, with three services: deep cleaning (cleaning the entire house), super clean (cleaning plus steam cleaning of washrooms) and ultra clean (all of the above plus cleaning the upholstery). A 3-BHK flat can take up to seven hours to clean. It also offers annual packages with a 15% monthly discount. Broomberg aims to set up 25 cleaning teams, grow to other metros, earn Rs 12-15 lakh per month by the end of FY15. We are currently not making profits but we expect to earn well once the business scale up,” says Goyal. Here’s hoping they don’t get swept away by the competition.

BOOKMYSHOW

Bookmyshow is now the cynosure of PE funds, but can the online ticketing major live up to the hype of its Rs1100-crore valuation.

In 1999, Ashish Hemrajani was on a backpacking trip in South Africa, taking a break from his two year old job at ad agency J Walter Thompson. Travelling around storms river valley, he was sitting under a tree, listening to the radio, when it played a jingle promoting tickets for a rugby match. Hemrajani was struck by the idea of a virtual ticketing business and, returning to India soon after, the 24 year old quit his job, persuaded his friends Rajesh Balpande and Parikshit Dar to quit their jobs as well and started a movie ticket selling business through telephone and the internet. The name of their company- Bigtree entertainment- pays tribute to the site of Hemrajani’s epiphany. Indeed, Hemrajani is decidedly an outdoors man, and likes to sail and swim in his spare time. A member of the Colaba sailing club and Royal Bombay Yacht club, he is currently planning to buy a 35 seats sloop cruiser, his first boat, to make his weekend sailing trips even more meaningful. Growing up in a middle- class household in Mumbai, he observed how people around him struggled to fulfil even their basic needs, standing in queues for hours to buy staples, movie or train tickets.

With seed capital of Rs25000 from Hemrajani and his friends, Bigtree Entertainment came to life in 1999- and very shortly after, Chase Capital Partners JP Morgan bought a stake. Armed with capital, the founders went about not just building the business, but creating the entire ecosystem of online ticketing. Bigtree tied up with New Zealand based Vista Entertainment Solutions for the ticketing software and customized it to suit local conditions. After tie-ups with 200 cinema houses, Bigtree launched its service in 2000 as Indyatickets.com. But the dot com bust in 2001-2002 put the business model under tremendous pressure, even as chase capital exited by selling its stake to newsCorp. Mobile telephony had exploded across India and internet banking was gaining ground. Accordingly Bigtree changed its business model. Rechristened Bookmyshow, now the service involved entering into a convenience fee arrangement with multiplexes and standalone cinema houses, buying bulk inventory and COD came to an end and all customer transactions moved online.

Last year, the company launched Bookmyshow mobile apps, which has been very successful- already, 40% of tickets are booked through the app. As a pilot, Bigtree has set up automated ticket collecting machines at select cinema houses. Customers simply place their debit or credit cards on the machine, which scans the card and prints the ticket, similar to self-check-in kiosks at airports. As on date, around 80% of bookmyshow’s business comes from movie tickets, while the rest comes from events such as music festivals, formula one race, concerts and IPL, among others. Bookmyshow sells software to around 50% of its 3000 screens clients; it hopes to add 5000-6000 screen clients over the next two years.

Ghar Ka Swadistya Khana in Rs.20.

Jesse Van De Zand started ‘Janta Meals’ in 2013 located in Gurgaon with the investment of Rs.40 lakhs. He is a migrant and 32 year old Dutchman. He had been managing start-ups in the Netherlands since 2007 at Enviu Foundation. He had never handled a food start-up before coming to India in 2013. The idea of serving meals for less to migrant workers was first pitched to Van De Zand by Prabhat Agarwal when they met early last year in Gurgaon. Agarwal later became the financier of Janta Meals. The motivation to start Janta Meals came from the fact that cooking one’s own food remains an inefficient proposition for a migrant worker- he doesn't have cooking gas, refrigerator, running water, time or a large house.
Janta Meals supplies nutritious food for migrant workers at economical prices. The meal, which included four to five rotis, dal, sabzi, chutney and salad, was offered for measly Rs.20. Janta’s first two outlets in sikandarpur market and sheetla colony were set up to test the demand for its product. Both outlets could serve about 250 meals in one shift, had 12 women cooks each and a manger to oversee operations. Once the demand was proven and it decided to scale, Janta established a larger kitchen in Gurgaon. Janta Meals runs six outlets, all in Gurgaon. The company aims to have at least 30 outlets in Gurgaon by early 2015. As on date, Janta’s franchisees contribute 50% to its turnover, the rest comes from sales to institutions such as factories and schools. It has also set up a canteen in an apparel company in Gurgaon with 1,200 workers.
Van De Zand was surprised that even at Rs.20; customers were very picky and expected free refills. To deal with this, the company started charging an extra Rs.5 for a dal or sabzi refill. Currently, of the Rs.20, 50% is the cost of raw materials and fuel, 30% is kept by the franchisee and the remaining 20% is the company’s profit.
Janta’s vegetable supplies come in every day from Azadpur mandi in Delhi. Pulses come in about five times a month from a wholesale supplier while spices and rice are bought in bulk from a local shop. The kitchen is equipped with cold storage for vegetables and dairy products and a storeroom for dry raw ingredients. Janta has been using signage and flyers to promote itself, but most customers are drawn by word of mouth. On the face of it, Janta competes with almost every restaurant and stall on the street.
                                                             Thank you for visit.

And I started to write a book. I wrote 4 pages on life and showed to my teacher. He appreciated me. Once my mother caught me during writing and scolded me. I stopped writing. After 10th exam I was waiting for result. I had no any work. I was totally free. So I started to write again. But I couldn’t complete it. When I was in 10+2 an incident happened with me. I inspired a lot from that incident. Now I wanted to show to world that I can also do something. My thinking and dream became large. I wanted to be biggest person of the world. I wanted to share with people about that incident. So I started to write again and failed again.  During my BBA in Patna I tried several times, but I couldn’t get success. After BBA I went home and started to wait for result. One day I was walking on my roof. I saw a known boy on neighbor’s roof. We both started conversation. During conversation he showed interest to know about my past life. I shared my story with him. I started to feel proud on myself. I wanted to share my whole story to the world. So again I started to write. I completed 3 diaries. I wrote three different-different stories in those 3 diaries. But those three stories kept incomplete. And one day, I became too angry and through all diaries in fire. In 2013, I took admission in a college of greater Noida for study of PGDM. This time I didn’t want to fail anyhow. So during my PGDM I started to write again. I was more excited than before and wanted to get publish as soon as possible. My all friends and teachers did know about my book slowly-slowly. Whenever anyone asked about my book, I became excited to complete it. I tried to get publish in very less time but it took some times.

Now days, I am busy to give interview like celebrity. On Sunday, one of my old friends came to my office to meet me. Actually, he had done MBA from Central university of Jharkhand and now he wants job. He was trying since 15 days in Delhi, but he didn’t get job. He contacted to some consultancies but they charged lot. Someone told him that I also provide placement service.  So he came to me. He asked several questions about me, my company and my life. When I was giving answers, I was feeling like I am giving interview.

On Saturday, when I reached college to give exam, some friends told me to meet director sir at 12; 45. During exam, one faculty also told to meet to director sir. All students started to see me. All were thinking what Surya did, so director sir is calling him. One student asked from that faculty about it. He saw at me and replied-he knows why sir is calling. I reached near director’s office before 12; 45. A few minutes later, one faculty member called me. When I entered in office, I shocked to see 7 faculties sited in front of me. They all started to ask questions one by one. They asked several questions related to class, exams, background, family, life etc. I was giving answers in front of 7 faculty members first time. I was feeling like I am a big celebrity person and giving interview in front of 7 news channels. After interview, I went in canteen. One my friend told in canteen-“you were already too famous in our college. Now you became most famous student of our college.” The same day during oral exam of CE, a faculty asked first question- where you live. He also asked questions about my business and company. I again realized that I am giving interview.

On Friday, I was reading newspaper in library. One boy came and sited in front of me. He also started to ask questions about my company, investment, profits, people, way of doing business, how idea came in mind, website of my company, process etc. he was asking very confidently. I was feeling like I am sited in front of CBI, and he is trying to know everything about my company. I didn’t become angry while I was happy, because I always wanted that someone ask more and more questions related to me. I like to give interview. But if this interview would be in front of media, it was better.

I reached at middle school earlier to attend chemistry class. There was no any student present there. Presently, I saw to Shikha. I shocked to see her earlier, because she used to come late always. It seemed like she is coming from bath, because her hair was wet. She was in salwar-suit. She was looking too beautiful. To see her, my heart started to beat. In campus only we two person were present. It was a good opportunity for me to talk her and confirm that she is my Chandra or not. She came and started to read near classroom, because classroom was locked. I don’t know she was really reading or not. I went near her to talk. I was trying to speak, but words were not coming from my mouth due to some hesitation. She was not talking to me, not looking at me and not leaving at place. She was only reading. She knew that I want to say something. So she was not leaving that place. I was only thinking to talk. A few minutes later, she left that place, when students started to come. I couldn’t say anything and lost a good opportunity.

----------- It is a part of my second book want to see you.

Why did it happen with me? Why did it happen with me? Why did it happen with me? Why did it happen with me? Why did it happen with me? I know it is wrong which happened with me. I didn’t want it, but I couldn’t control myself and I did wrong. I did wrong with someone. I played with someone. But I was not willing to play. I don’t know why and how I did it. It is wrong now. It may be it will prove right in future. It may be whatever happened it was suitable for me like Ebiz. I didn’t get success in Ebiz. During that time I was always thinking that why is it happening with me? But later I realized that it was good. I didn’t get success in Ebiz it was proved good. I realized it when I started suryasolution.com. Someone said true- ‘if you are willing something and not getting it means you will get something better’. It happened with me and it may be it will happen again.

IF YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE ANYTHING, YOU NEED TO TRY. BECAUSE OF LACK OF TRY MANY PEOPLE ALWAYS FAIL.EVERY ONE HAS DREAM. EVERY ONE WANTS TO GET SUCCESS. EVERY ONE WANTS TO FULFILL THEIR DREAMS. BUT VERY FEW PEOPLE TRY TO ACHEVE IT. SOME TRY ONLY ONCE. SOME SURRENDER AFTER TWO TRY. BUT SUCCESS COMES TO ONLY THOSE PEOPLE WHO TRY TILL LAST. I AM A SUITABLE EXAMPLE FOR IT. I WAS TRYING TO WRITE A BOOK FROM 9th CLASS. I TRIED SEVERAL TIMES IN 7 YEARS TO WRITE A BOOK AND PUBLISH THAT. BUT I FAILED ALWAYS. NOW I AM FEELING VERY PROUD ON MYSELF. BECAUSE MY FIRST BOOK "MY EBIZ STORY" IS GOING TO PUBLISH. AFTER TOO HARD WORK, FINALLY I COMPLETED MY BOOK. I HAD TO WRITE THE SAME THINGS SEVERAL TIMES.EVERY TIME I LEARNT NEW THINGS.  YOU ALL ALREADY KNOW THAT KOSIS KARNE WALO KI KABHI HAAR NHI HOTI.

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Yesterday, I was sleeping in noon. I saw a very bad dream. I saw that a very dangerous person wants to kill me. I don't know how I reached there. He is a professional killer, who kills in 7 steps. He killed two people in front of me. Now, he started to kill me through 7 steps. He tried to kill me through 1st step, but I couldn't die. He tried 2nd step, again he couldn't kill me. He said-"I will kill you definitely through 7 steps. You saved yourself till 2 steps. You can save yourself till 6 steps, but in 7 steps you will have to die definitely. No anyone can save you in 7th step. You will have to give me your backbone in 7th step."  I am feeling too fear. I am in bed. I want to leave the bed and run away from there. However, I am not able to do so. I am not able to do any activity. May be, he did something magic with me, so I am not able to do any activity, stand, fight or run away. I understood that I am going to die. Therefore, i started to search solution in my mind. Suddenly, an idea or solution came in my mind. I started to do work on that. A few seconds later, I found myself in bed in my room at Greater Noida. I said to myself- it was too bad dream. I called to my mother immediately.

I dont know, why I see this type of dream always? I have seen this type of dreams several times from childhood, in which someone wants to kill me. But, why does someone want to kill me?

it is very necessary to understand your friend's feelings to maintain a long term relationship, such as, what he/she likes/dislikes, his/her expectation from you.  if you are spending more than 1 hour daily with your friend and you are not understanding his or her feelings, it means you are not a real friend. to maintain a good relationship you must talk to his or her openly. you should spend some times with your friend regularly. you share everything with him/her, whatever you are feeling. due to lack of regular communication, the distance between both starts increase slowly-slowly. and it is not good.

BUSINESS IS LIKE A CRICKET

To make profit in any type of business or to win in anything depends on many things. It depends on owner, it depends on team leader, it depends on team members, it depends on talent and motive of employees or players, it depends on relationship among owner and players, it depends on right decision on right place at right time, it depends on selection of employees or player, it depends on hard work, it depends on dedication, it depends on environment and it depends on luck also. But relationship plays most important role in success. Due to good relationship persons always ready to help. To win  is not so easy. Everyone wants to win. Everyone does hard work to win. so, our competitors play to win . They also try give their best. But, if every team member focus on their strength, it will be a very strong team and they will win definitely. Competitors try to find out our weakness and they attack on it. So we should not show our weakness, try to hide it. we should always play with honesty, because it also plays important role in winning. Honesty gives long term benefits.
Today, suryasolution.com   won two cricket matches against Mangalmay  Institute Of Management & Technology, greater Noida. I learnt above all things from cricket. And business is like a cricket. No anyone wants to defeat. so, play it very carefully.

responsibility is the thing which can makes you a best father, a best husband, a best boy friend, a best friend, a best brother, a best son, a best manager, a best businessman, a best leader, a best student, a best teacher etc. responsibility also plays very important role in corporate world. it is the most essential thing in corporate world. without it you can't grow in any business. in the earlier days i also didn't use to take responsibility, so my business was not growing. i used to make excuse with my customers and it is very bad thing. i should had take responsibility. i realised it yesterday, when my friend called me. she is doing MBA from IIMT, meerut. she was weeping, she was too sad. a few minutes latter my father called me. i remembered that my father takes all responsibility of my family. presently, i changed my mind, opened laptop and started to do work. i took responsibility. i realised that responsibility is very essential especially in corporate world. if i promised to any customer it is my responsibility to fulfil that. customers can't wait long for you if you are not taking responsibility. there are many competitors in market. they can go anywhere, wherever he can get  reply as soon as possible. so it is my suggestion for you all if you don't take responsibility you are doing very wrong. if you want to grow and increase your profits, start to take responsibility from today and now. you will have to be active always to take it.

Love is a very sweet feelings about someone. Today in evening, whether was too romantic. when whether became romantic, I also became romantic and someone started to come in my mind, automatic. I started remembering to someone. I was feeling like someone is also remembering me, someone is waiting for me, someone wants to see me. but I don't know who is someone. I was taking tea in balcony and seeing in sky. I was thoughtless. I was not able to understand what I do. I was trying to find out who is she. a few minutes latter I realized that I did some mistakes. I shouldn't do so. love relationship is very difficult to maintain for long time, but we all should manage anyhow. because if someone loves you, believes on you, you shouldn't playing with her feelings. its hurt. to wait for someone for long time is really to difficult, but if you really love her , you should wait for her. she will come and meet with you sure. don't cheat to anyone. because when heart breaks, it gives pain too much. it is very difficult to be normal after heart breaks. believe on her and try to make good relationship.
