Four years back when Ronak Talesara completed his engineering
from Vellore Institute of Technology he decided to come back to Bhilwara, a
sleepy town in Rajasthan’s Mewar region, to join Electronic Arena, a 50 year
old shop set up by his grandfather, which sells mobiles and consumer durables.
But times were changing and Talesara decided to sell mobile phones online. In
two years his revenue from mobiles jumped more than ten times-from Rs1 crore a
year to Rs10-12 crore in 2014-15. “If you have the capacity to invest and
spread your products across platforms, you can make a lot of money. It is a
volume business,” said Talesara.
